What a traspaso is
With a traspaso you buy a business that's already running: you step into the unit's lease, take on the licences, fixtures, equipment and the clientele the business has built. You're not buying the property: for that, there are commercial units for sale.

What do you actually buy with a traspaso?
The running business: the right to step into the unit's lease, the licences, the fixtures, the equipment and the clientele. The property stays owned by the landlord, with whom you sign the new lease or the handover.
Do I need to be a resident to take over a business?
